To me who was a child at that time
Eight years have passed since the massive tsunami hit the Tohoku region of Japan. The town that was damaged by the tsunami was renewed and the number of lights in the town increased. I've been covering the places where the tsunami happened, but I've never had a chance to talk to young people. What do they think of as children at the time? I wanted to know what the tsunami brought to them.

To me who was a child at that time
Kazuki Saitou 17 years old. Otsuchi Iwate. 19 Feb 2019. Kazuki is a high school student. The tsunami hit Otsuchi when he was nine. After the evacuation, the shelter had no food and he had no food for a few days. When he was a child, he saw the tsunami-swept town and wanted to leave the town and become a firefighter in Tokyo. However, when he learned that Kazuki's close firefighter died in the tsunami, he reconsidered himself and his town. It made Kazuki become a firefighter in Otsuchi who defends the town.
