To me who was a child at that time
Eight years have passed since the massive tsunami hit the Tohoku region of Japan. The town that was damaged by the tsunami was renewed and the number of lights in the town increased. I've been covering the places where the tsunami happened, but I've never had a chance to talk to young people. What do they think of as children at the time? I wanted to know what the tsunami brought to them.

To me who was a child at that time
Fumiya Kimura 21 years old. Namie, Fukushima. 7 Feb 2019. Fumiya is a civil servant in the town. The tsunami struck the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant when he was 13 years old. Fumiya evacuated to his relatives, Nihonmatsu, and lived there. Fumiya's parents then divorced. Fumiya sometimes thinks that the cause is a disaster. However, Fumiya believes that meeting with various people after the disaster had a great influence on his life. That made Fumiya decide on his current job, wanting to help others.
